A SYNOPSIS OF MY LIFE SINCE 1955

I married David Hamilton who also was from Portsmouth. We have two children, Robert and Pamela. Both are grown now with children of their own. I have four incredible grandchildren. Three grandsons, Ben, Erik and Chris. One adorable granddaughter-in-law, Yaniri. They are the light of my life and have given me so much joy.

During the years in Portsmouth and while my children were growing up, I was active in their school programs holding various positions with the PT A and serving in home room duties.

Also, I served many years with both the boy scouts and the girl scouts. Here again in many positions, such as troop leader, camp director, camp business manager and training new adult leaders.

I was a long time member of Central Baptist Church and served in many capacities there. The church sponsored the scouting programs in which both Dave and I were active.

I worked many years at Mercy Hospital as a Medical Insurance Billing Specialist before moving away from Portsmouth.

Dave and I moved to Florida more than 25 years ago settling in North Central Florida on acreage that we had owned for many years. We built a home there and enjoyed country living for many years until his death in 1997. During those years I continued my previous work as Medical Insurance Billing Specialist at Shands Alachua General Hospital in Gainesville. I attended real estate school and upon obtaining my license in 1989 I went to work for Century 21. I still am licensed, but not active in the business at this time.

After Dave's death I moved into our townhouse in Boca Ration, FL. to be near my daughter and grandchildren. When they moved away, I decided to come back to Keystone Heights where my son still lives.

I no longer belong to any organizations or serve on any committes. Been there, done that. I like to stay close to home and work at landscaping my yard, reading, playing various online games and puzzles and staying in touch with family and friends via e-mail.

I enjoy those occasional trips/vacations with former classmates and good friends, Gwen, Mary Ann and Patti.

Now I share my life and home with my two cats, Barney and Skylar.
